When it comes to onboarding, we’ve developed a program for each of the roles we have in the company. The program consists of diverse learning materials, as well as practical assignments, such as Manuals, videos, coaching sessions, practice tasks, etc. The first few days are focused more on learning about the company’s processes and the role itself, so it’s 100% focused on reading different materials and watching videos.
After getting acquainted with the processes, we would slowly introduce some dummy practice tasks, so you’d have, let’s say, 70% reading and 30% practice. The goal of the onboarding process is to get you to 0% reading and 100% actual work in the period between two and three weeks. Another great thing about this program is that you would constantly be in contact with your team members so that, if you get stuck at some point, someone will jump in and help right away!
