Hello, and welcome to the Essence of Email FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) page! The main focus of this page is to help you get informed about how we do things here and answer some of the questions you might be wondering about. If it happens that we didn’t answer some of the questions you have for us, don’t worry! We made sure to leave an email for you at the bottom of the page where you can send us your questions. So without further ado, let’s get started!

We get this question a lot, and honestly, there is no one right answer, there simply can't be. So you can read what our teammates say below.

Yes! We are a 100% remote company, and we want to stay that way. Each of us is working from the comfort of our home, or our friend's home, or the café. The choice is up to you! We don't really care where you're at, just as long as you're available during your working hours, and you get the job done.
The standard working hours are 1 pm — 9 pm CET (9 am — 5 pm GMT-3), as that time matches the US time zone, where our clients are located in. However, some teams have different working hours. The working hours for the Strategy Office and the Talent Management team are from 10 am — 6 pm CET, and for the Growth & Brand they are from 11 am — 7 pm.
Another important thing to mention here is that we have the option of having a flexible schedule. That means that you can organize your own schedule according to your needs! Do you like working a bit in the morning, and then finishing your work later that day? That’s okay with us! Just as long as your team members are aware of your schedule in advance, and that it covers the 8 hours of the day, during which you have a one-hour break.

The main platform we use for organizing our daily tasks is Asana, and we also communicate about the tasks there. In addition to that, the main platform we use for everyday communication and meetings is Zoom. As for some other platforms, it depends on the role you plan to apply for. You can check our Career page for more information on the open positions, and what are the requirements for them.
We're so glad you asked! It would be an advantage to know the platforms we use, but if you don't, we're okay with that. We don't expect you to know everything before you join us. That's why we have onboarding programs for each of the roles that will get you integrated into the company processes in no time!
We also constantly organize different coaching sessions with people who are enrolled in different development programs. You would also have coworking sessions where you can get help from people who are in the company a bit longer than you. All we need is your motivation to learn!

Sure! If you can’t decide between the two roles we have to offer, we advise you to apply for both. Our Talent Acquisition Experts will then review your application, and interview you for the one they think suits you best. If they think you have the potential for both, then it will be up to you to decide in which of them you see yourself more. Also, our experts are excellent at recognizing talent, so if it happens that you applied for a role, but they think another one will suit you even better, they’ll make sure to suggest that as well!
Once you apply, we'll review your application and if you meet the requirements, we’ll contact you in a maximum of 7 days. Just a note, we're not working on weekends, so you can expect our emails only during the workdays.
If our cameras are on, we think that you would focus more on whether you're looking at the camera in the right way, if what you're wearing is appropriate for the interview, and why the interviewer looked at you that way.
We believe that what you say is more important than how you look, and we want to hear your story. We also understand that being in an interview is not an easy thing to do, and many of us are having a hard time talking in front of new people. That’s why we wanted to make sure that we make the interviews as comfortable as possible so that you can easily tell us your story.

That's all right. Life is unpredictable sometimes, and we are aware of that. If it happens that for some reason you don't have time to finish the test, just let us know so that we can arrange a new due date for you!
As a matter of fact, we do have a probation period. It lasts for two months, and it’s fully paid for! During that period you’ll see if joining us was a good decision, and if we decide we’re a good fit, you just continue working after the two-month period.
When it comes to onboarding, we’ve developed a program for each of the roles we have in the company. The program consists of diverse learning materials, as well as practical assignments, such as Manuals, videos, coaching sessions, practice tasks, etc. The first few days are focused more on learning about the company’s processes and the role itself, so it’s 100% focused on reading different materials and watching videos.
After getting acquainted with the processes, we would slowly introduce some dummy practice tasks, so you’d have, let’s say, 70% reading and 30% practice. The goal of the onboarding process is to get you to 0% reading and 100% actual work in the period between two and three weeks. Another great thing about this program is that you would constantly be in contact with your team members so that, if you get stuck at some point, someone will jump in and help right away!
